X Factor bosses prepare for a showdown as Lady Gaga performs in front of 'enemy' Sharon Osbourne

X Factor bosses are preparing for a showdown this weekend as Lady Gaga takes to the stage in front of Sharon Osbourne, who engaged in a public spat with the singer last year.
Sharon wrote an open letter to Lady Gaga, calling her 'a publicity seeking hypocrite', after she criticised her daughter Kelly's show Fashion Police.
With the 'Applause' singer booked to perform on Sunday's live show, producers are said to be worried that the pair will go head to head on live TV.

What began with Kelly suggesting that Gaga had worn covering clothes to the 2012 Grammys due to a secret pregnancy, evolved into a full blown war with mother and daughter Osbourne on one side, and the Artpop artist on the other.
Following Kelly’s comments on her E! show, Fashion Police, Gaga wrote an open letter saying that her show encouraged bullying and was ‘rooted in criticism’.

Lady Gaga Reveals What ARTPOP Means On Latest

Lady Gaga may have had a message for her critics on her duet with R. Kelly, "Do What U Want," but on ARTPOP's title track, she has some words for a potential lover.
"Come to me/ In all your glamour and cruelty / Just do that thing that you do/ And I'll undress you/ Give it time/ Sometimes the simplest move is right/ The melody that you choose/ Can rescue you," she sings on the bleepy, dark electric track. Later, she shares, "My ARTPOP could mean anything."
"We could, we could belong together/ ARTPOP/ We could, we could belong together/ ARTPOP/ We could, we could belong together/ ARTPOP/ ARTPOP/ ARTPOP."

Gaga will be releasing teasers in the lead-up to ARTPOP's November 11 release. With the title track's snippet out, Gaga will release two more preview songs on October 27 and November 4 before the album hits retailers next month. In addition to the teaser tracks, Gaga will formally release her next single, "Venus," on October 25.
While she has yet to share when a "Venus" music video for the track will drop, she did recently tease that it will be the first in a series of videos tied to this album release. "no maam it the beginning of ARTPOP TRILOGY ENDINGS TO COME!" she told a fan who asked if the video would be a continuation of her "Telephone" series.
If fans are wondering what the complete ARTPOP album will sound like, during the same Q&A, she shared, "it is a complete and total transportation from pop culture as you know it into an explosion of art fantasy, rage and eros."

SNL Does 'The Lady Gaga Show'

Lady Gaga was poked fun of on this week’s “SNL” in a sketch called “The Lady Gaga Show,” featuring guests including designer Michael Kors and Penelope Cruz.

In the mock talk show, Kors ridiculously judged other celebrities’ style, Cruz offered — in overly broken English — her beauty tips, and Gaga did an outrageous makeover of a high school principal.

Lady Gaga Reveals Second 'ARTPOP' Single, 'Venus'

The song title is likely a reference to "The Birth of Venus," a famous painting from the Italian artist Botticelli. The piece of art is featured, albeit in pieces, behind Gaga on the "ARTPOP" album cover.
According to the popstar, "Venus" will see an Oct. 27 official release. Hashtags following Gaga's tweet could be hints toward the song's lyrics.
The new single announcement follows the reveal of "ARTPOP"'s tracklist, as well as a lyric video for the song "Aura." On her Twitter, Gaga also announced the first 500,000 physical copies of the record will feature hot pink and silver foil, apparently representing the original album art design by artist Jeff Koons.
